Add the pitted dates to a food processor to chop finely.
Then add the rest ingredients EXCEPT the black sesame paste . Continue to process until the mixture looks like bread crumbs.
Add the black sesame paste in and go on to process again until the mixture start to looks sticky. Test by press the mixture between your fingers and it could stick together. If not, add a dash of water and process again to help to bind.
Line a loaf pan with parchment paper. Transfer the mixture to the pan and press down with a spatula or a spoon.
Place it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to set up. Once it's set, take it out, remove from the pan, and chop them into squares or long bar shapes to enjoy. You can add other toppings to decorate if you want. I add a handful of toasted coconut flakes.
