Sour, sweet, refreshing, and not-so-pungent, this Pineapple Ginger Smoothie is one of the smoothies that could open your appetite and, for me, my mind.

Pineapple Ginger Smoothie
This Pineapple Ginger Smoothie is really one-of-the-find that I would like to share with you as soon as possible because it’s getting a little bit cool right now. So here we go.
This Pineapple Ginger Smoothie is not as pungent as many smoothies that involve pineapple, yet it still has that tropical taste to make it refreshing and energizing.

I like pineapple as the post-meal fruit. But, you know, I usually buy food only for myself and a whole pineapple often doesn’t last that long for 1 person to finish all. So, I usually chop them into chunks and freeze them to keep them fresh and ready for smoothies ANYTIME. That’s kind of a meal-prep tip as well.
You can also use fresh pineapple (un-frozen) but I would recommend swapping the water to ice cubes to get a creamier, ideal consistency.

This Pineapple Ginger Smoothie is not-so-sweet too, which is how I like it. What’s more awesome is that you only need 4 ingredients to make it. (except for the water)
And how to make it? Simple. Just blend all ingredients in a blender (I love my Vitamix) and you have that. Easy Peasy, got the smoothie. (quote me on this one 😉)
It got a mellow taste with the soy yogurt (coconut yogurt works, too) and a piece of ginger that you probably wouldn’t taste. If you like a stronger ginger flavor, just add more ginger. That’s totally your call. But be careful because raw ginger has a very strong and prominent characteristic in terms of flavor. Happy blending!
PS. This post doesn’t have a lot of photos because I was not very satisfied with the shoots I’ve taken. So I’m considering retaken the photos. But I just want to let you guys try this smoothie as soon as possible, so I hope you could pardon me for that for a while. : )
鳳梨生薑果昔 Pineapple Ginger Smoothie
食材
- 360 ml (1+½ cup) chopped frozen pineapples 冷凍鳳梨切塊
- 120 ml (½ cup) soy yogurt 豆漿優格, or coconut yogurt
- 1 large banana 香蕉, sliced & frozen 冷凍切片
- A small piece of ginger 薑
- 120 ml (½ cup) water 飲用水, half ice if not using frozen fruits
- A dash of
ground cinnamon 肉桂粉 , optional
作法
- Add all ingredients into the blender and blender until smooth.
- Pour into your favorite bowl or cup. Add any toppings you like. I add some coconut flakes and ground cinnamon. Serve immediately.
